1. Who we are and what these terms cover
This website is operated by Joe Loya ("we", "us", "our"). By visiting the site, submitting a form or signing in to the client portal, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
These terms cover the website and portal only. The terms of any engagement for our services are in the Client Agreement, which applies once you accept a quote from us. Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy explain how we handle personal data and cookies.
2. What this site is, and is not
This site describes our Reddit removal service and gives general information about how Reddit, its rules and related law work. We are an independent business. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Reddit, Inc., and we have no special access to Reddit. Please read the Disclaimer.
We are not a law firm and nothing on this site is legal advice. The information is general and cannot take account of your circumstances. Where a matter needs legal advice, you should consult a qualified lawyer.
3. Who may use the site
You must be at least 18 years old. If you use the site for a business or on behalf of another person, you confirm you have authority to do so.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to use the site lawfully and honestly. You must not:
- submit false, misleading or fraudulent information, or impersonate another person or organisation;
- ask us to remove content you have no genuine basis to challenge, or use our service to harass, threaten or silence anyone, to hide wrongdoing, or to interfere with a legal process;
- submit content that is unlawful, abusive, infringes another person's rights, or contains malware;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, the portal, other clients' cases or our systems, or probe, scan or test their security without our written permission;
- overload or disrupt the site, bypass its protections, or submit forms by automated means;
- copy or harvest the site's content by automated means, or use it to train a competing service, without our written permission; or
- use the site in any way that breaks a law or another person's rights.
We may refuse a submission, suspend access or end an engagement if we reasonably believe these rules have been broken.
5. Submitting information
When you send us a Reddit link, message, file or other material, you confirm that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you are entitled to send it to us. You give us permission to use it for the purpose of assessing your request and providing the service, including sharing it with Reddit or moderators where that is needed to pursue your request. Please do not send information we do not need, such as government identification numbers, financial account details or health information.
6. The client portal
The portal lets clients follow a case, exchange messages, add links and files, and view invoices. You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email address. You are responsible for keeping control of your email account and your devices. Anyone who can receive your codes or use a device where you are signed in can see your cases, so sign out on shared computers, and tell us promptly if you think someone else has had access.
We may suspend or restrict portal access to protect a client, our team or our systems. Messages you send through the portal are treated as written communication to us.
7. No guarantee
Whether content is removed, or an account is reinstated, is decided by Reddit, by community moderators or by other third parties, using their own rules and judgment. We do not guarantee any particular outcome or timing. Statements about how long things usually take, or about what has worked in general, are not promises about your case. Our pay-after-removal fees are explained on the Fees and Payment page and in the Client Agreement.
8. Accuracy of the information on this site
We work to keep the site accurate and up to date and we cite our sources. Reddit's rules, policies, figures and the law change, and some pages show figures as of a stated date. We do not promise the site is complete or current, and you should not rely on it alone when making decisions. Client reviews and examples describe individual experiences and are not a prediction of your result.
9. Links to other sites
The site links to Reddit, government sites, courts and other third parties. We do not control them, do not endorse them and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.
10. Intellectual property
The site, its design, text, graphics and software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. You may view the site and print or share pages for your own non-commercial use, and quote short extracts with a link back to the page. You may not otherwise copy, republish, sell or create derivative works from it without our written permission. "Reddit" and other names belong to their owners and are used only to identify the platform our services concern.
11. Availability
We aim to keep the site available, but we may suspend or change it at any time, for example for maintenance. We are not liable if it is unavailable.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent the law allows, the site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or data, arising from your use of the site or reliance on its content. Our total liability for any claim relating to the use of the site is limited to 100 US dollars. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence. Liability for work we carry out for you as a client is governed by the Client Agreement.
14. Indemnity
You agree to compensate us for loss, claims and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms, your submission of unlawful or misleading material, or your misuse of the site, to the extent the law allows.
15. Reporting a concern about this site
If you believe that something on this site is inaccurate, infringes your rights, or describes you or your organisation unfairly, write to legal@joeloya.com with the page address, what the concern is and how to reach you. We take such reports seriously, will check them against the source, and will correct or remove what should be corrected or removed.
16. Changes to these terms and to the site
We may update these terms. The "last updated" date shows the current version. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms. Changes do not affect an engagement already agreed, which stays under the Client Agreement in force when you accepted our quote.
17. Governing law and disputes
These terms and any dispute arising from them or from your use of the site are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The courts located in California have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim in your home courts. Please contact us first at legal@joeloya.com, so that we can try to resolve the matter informally.
18. General
- If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
- A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver of it.
- You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours to a successor to the business.
- These terms, together with the policies they refer to, are the whole agreement between you and us about use of the site.
